The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed in regards to the higher variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted website to service the area on a daily basis. The provider issue developed for intervention activities a significant inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to empower the servicing of all buyers and enhance entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
